Highlands Medical Center is pleased to announce the opening of Highlands Primary Care, a new family <\/span>physician office loca<\/span>ted at 1108 S. Broad Street in Scottsboro<\/span>, across from First United Methodist <\/span>Church<\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Scott Berry, MD, and Chelsea Clark, MD, are the new physicians and currently accepting new <\/span>patients. Those interested in becoming a patient should call their office at 256<\/span>–<\/span>218<\/span>–<\/span>3230.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Scott Berry, MD, is a native<\/span> of Scottsboro, Alabama. In 2019, he received his Doctorate in Medicine <\/span>(MD) from the UAB Heersink School of Medicine and completed his resident training in the UAB <\/span>Huntsville Family Medicine Residency Program. \u201cI am very happy to begin a medical career i<\/span>n my <\/span>hometown of Scottsboro. My wife Emily and I look forward to a wonderful life in the community with <\/span>our two children,\u201d says Dr. Berry.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Raised outside of Birmingham, Dr. Chelsea Clark attended Auburn University, where she completed a <\/span>biomedical science<\/span>s major and a sustainability minor. She received her Doctorate in Medicine (MD) <\/span>from UAB Heersink School of Medicine and completed her residency training in the UAB Huntsville <\/span>Family Medicine Residency Program. While in medical school, Dr. Clark served a<\/span>s the Family Medicine <\/span>Interest Group president and was awarded the Blue Cross Blue Shield Primary Care Scholarship. \u201cAfter <\/span>moving to Huntsville for resident training, I fell in love with the beauty of the Tennessee Valley and the <\/span>people who live here,\u201d sa<\/span>id Dr. Clark. \u201cI am thrilled to join this new practice and make Northeast <\/span>Alabama my home.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Growing up in a family filled with educators, Dr. Clark has a passion for <\/span>incorporating education into her practice, helping ensure each patient understands their<\/span> disease process <\/span>in order to make informed healthcare decisions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Highlands Medical Center is now part of the Huntsville Hospital Health System. They are working to <\/span>build a stronger health care system for the community through added services and attracti<\/span>ng new <\/span>physicians to care for the residents of Jackson County and the surrounding areas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
