Mr. Richard Glen Adams, 84 of Paint Rock, born on Saturday, April 17, 1937 to Vernon and Olga Adams of Mathis, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Scottsboro funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Gilliland officiating. Burial followed at Clay Cemetery.
\nGlen had a long and varied career highlighted by the following: cowboy and farmer; served in the United States Army during the Korean War era; shrimp boat owner and operator; tug boat captain on the Galveston and Houston intracoastal waterways and Gulf of Mexico ; welding supervisor and pipe fitter on the South Texas Nuclear Project; managed a large south Texas ranch. In addition, he was an avid outdoorsman and hunter.
