Mr. James \u201cAl\u201d Alvin Butler, Jr., born on Saturday, June 25, 1955 to James, Sr. and Inez Butler in Fort Payne, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Memorial services were held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
\nHe was a 1973 graduate of Scottsboro High and loved a good story, keeping his many friends entertained. His greatest joy came from working outside and getting his hands in the dirt. He made even the dullest day an adventure.
\nAl is survived by his children, James (Shanna) Butler, Maggie (Andrew) Akridge; granddaughters, Ophelia Butler, Lola Akridge, Mary Akridge, Andie Akridge; brothers, Steve (Lisa) Butler, Charles (Jamie) Butler; sisters, Belinda Butler, Tracy (Tony) Wallingsford; three nieces; three nephews; a host of friends; special friend who was like a son, Andrew Parvin.
