Pooney Loyd, II, 79 of Bryant passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at his home after a brief illness.<!--more--> A graveside military honors burial was held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Oak Lawn Memorial Park. <br \/>\nHe was born in Pourtsmouth, Virginia and attended Pisgah High. For the majority of his adult life, he was employed at I.E. Dupont in Chattanooga. <br \/>\nHe is survived by his brother, Mike Loyd; several nieces and nephews.<br \/>\nSpecial thanks to the fourth-floor staff at Parkridge Hospital and Encompass Hospice for the loving care shown. In lieu of flowers, James\u2019 request was that donations be made to St. Jude\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospital at stjude.org\/donate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>James E.
