Hendrix, 74 of Mount Vernon passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at his home. <!--more-->Funeral services were held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with burial following in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. <br \/>\nHe was a graduate of Sardis High and was a veteran, retiring from the United States Army after 21 years of service. After his military retirement, he enjoyed working construction as a heavy equipment operator.<br \/>\nMr. Hendrix is survived by his wife, Deborah Hendrix; children, Tammy (David) Keller, Tommy Hendrix; seven grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Hendrix; nephew, Jeffery Hendrix. He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Mabrey; father, Henry Hendrix; sister, Becky Hendrix.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Ray J.
