In Whom Do You Trust?<\/strong>

There is a common need within all of us for someone upon whom we can depend, a constancy that will always be there for us and will never let us down. This world doesn\u2019t supply that remedy, however. As hard as we might try, none of us quite measure up to that big of a task.
\nWhat a tragedy for us to put so much stock and trade in the behavior of someone else to the extent that it dashes us on the rocks when they break their word. I\u2019ve known of some Christians who have abandoned their faith because some minister, elder, Bible teacher, or other church members let them down\u2014didn\u2019t live up to the highest expectations. Their faith rested more on the individual than on the rock of our salvation.<\/p>\n

In John 14:1-11 we have Jesus\u2019 promise of his dependability. He\u2019s calling on each one of us to trust His promises and lean on His everlasting arm. He affirms His total dependability. \u201cIf it were not so, I would have told you.\u201d Have you ever forgotten an appointment \u2013 left someone standing \u2013 forgot to go back and pick someone up?<\/p>\n

Jesus will never forget His promises: Hebrews 13:8 (KJV) 8 \u201cJesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.\u201d
\nGod\u2019s promises are certain: Hebrews 6:17 – 19 (KJV) 17 \u201cWherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 18That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;\u201d
\nThere are things certain upon which we can depend.<\/p>\n

Revelation 21:5 (KJV) 5 \u201cAnd he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.\u201d
\nRevelation 22:6 (KJV) 6 \u201cAnd he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.\u201d
\n2 Timothy 1:12 (KJV) 12 \u201cFor the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.\u201d
\nI know there are some who feel betrayed \u2013 let down \u2013 no one to trust in. If so, please turn to Jesus. \u201cIf you are tired of the load of your sin; Let Jesus come into your heart…\u201d
