He was a retired Alabama State Trooped with 30 years of service. Later, he retired from First Southern State Bank as an Asset Recovery Specialist. <br \/>\nHe is survived by his wife, Rae Patterson Bryant; sons, Marvin \u201cMarty\u201d Bryant, Jr., Heath Patrick (Robin) Bryant, Rodney Thomas; grandchildren, Zachary Holder Bryant, Chris Thomas, Trent Thomas; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
