Euthema Goodson, born on Friday, January 7, 1927 to Clarence and Annie Mitchell, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Graveside services were held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 in Walker Cemetery with Bro. Anthony Barnes officiating.
\nMs. Goodson was a resident of Barfield Health Care Facility in Guntersville for the past seven years prior to being transferred to Talledega, where she passed away from COVID-19. Born near New Hope, she was a graduate of Berry College and taught school for many years at John A. Patton in Tiftonia. She was a voracious reader and a prayer warrior. She was well known for saying, \u201cBlessed by the best\u201d as her greeting for everyone. She was a dedicated Christian of the Baptist faith and worked in child evangelism in the summer. Euthema was dearly loved by her students and faculty.
\nMs. Goodson is survived by her sisters, Lillian Mitchell Botos, Olivia Mitchell Rievley; several nieces and nephews.
\nShe was married and divorced from Billy Jack Goodson.
