The Brotherhood Pavilion was dedicated to \u201cthe Brotherhood of men and women in the United States military who serve to protect our country, the United States of America\u201d. The inscription states \u201ca strong Brotherhood was forged by 164 soldiers of the Alabama National Guard, Company B, 151st Engineering Battalion\u201d, led into battle by Charles Raymond Bradford, Jr. and Mark Scott Skelton in the Korean War. The plaque describes their brotherhood as \u201cnatives of Jackson County, best friends throughout their childhood, classmates in college, and soldiers that served sided by side\u201d and \u201ca strong friendship\u201d that spanned over 75 years.\u201d <\/p>\n
The Pavilion is a welcome addition to the park for the convenience of those visiting, and we encourage everyone to come out and see the new addition. Construction of the Pavilion was made possible by a generous grant from the Bynum Foundation and the ongoing support of the Park by Andy Skelton, Scott Skelton and Bill Tally. <\/p>\n
