The Lord knoweth them that are His<\/strong>

Do you believe that God knows you personally and cares for you in your time of need? If you\u2019ve ever doubted, even for a moment, that God is alive and aware of the needs of all his creatures, then you need the reassurance offered from two wonderful texts that should thrill your soul.<\/p>\n

2 Timothy 2:19 (KJV) 19 \u201cNevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.\u201d
\nJohn 10:27-28 (KJV) 27 \u201cMy sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.\u201d<\/p>\n

God\u2019s Word tells us that God is alive and powerfully revealed in the universe. We marvel with King David as to the glory of our Great God! Psalms 19:1 \u201cThe heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a discussion concerning the ungodly and unrighteous who would not glorify Jehovah as God, the Apostle Paul affirms in Romans 1:20 (KJV) 20 \u201cFor the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.\u201d God gave enough evidence of Himself to compel an awareness that He exists.<\/p>\n

We call this Natural Revelation. It doesn\u2019t tell us who God is, or how He deals with mankind, but it affirms that He lives. Special Revelation is God\u2019s way of introducing Himself to Us through the inspired Word. There we learn of His personality and nature as well as His plan for mankind.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s sad to note that many people through the ages invented their own gods, and gave up the knowledge of the one True and Living God. God gave them up according to Romans 1:24. To those who accept the testimony of nature and the Bible, they can know that \u201cThe earth is the Lord\u2019s and the fulness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein\u201d (Psalms 24:1).<\/p>\n

The Bible tells us that He knows and blesses those who are His (as per our text of 2 Timothy 2:19). Some may have concluded that God is too far away or too busy running His universe to care very much about us; however, not one sparrow can fall to the ground without His knowledge of it (Matt. 10:29-31). God has given this seal, \u201cThe Lord knoweth them that are his…\u201d (2 Timothy 2:19). A seal is used as a guarantee of the truthfulness of a thing. In Revelation 7:2-4, John reveals that God has sealed his servants in their foreheads to separate them from Satan\u2019s followers. This is a book of symbolical messages and we don\u2019t see a physical mark on our foreheads. What we do get from the book is that God wants to reassure His people of His protection and acceptance of us.<\/p>\n

Our confidence is founded on God\u2019s promises, (Hebrews 6:17-19). Our hope is anchored in Heaven and supported by the trustworthiness of His own Word!
