Faithfully teach the Word of God<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the New Testament we learn that it\u2019s God\u2019s Will that His Word be proclaimed by faithful teachers. Christianity is a taught religion:

1 Corinthians 12:28 (KJV) 28 \u201cAnd God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ephesians 4:11-12 (KJV) 11 \u201cAnd he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors (shepherds) and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:\u201d<\/p>\n

Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) 19 \u201cGo ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.<\/p>\n

Acts 8:4 \u201cTherefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the word.\u201d
\n2 Tim. 2:2 \u201cAnd the things that thou has heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elders, preachers, all Bible school teachers and parents should realize the responsibility that is theirs. We must never tire of the old truths. We must know our roots. We must look back to see where we came from so we can know where we are going. In Romans 15:4, the Apostle Paul speaks of the importance of the Old Testament stories.<\/p>\n

They give us the answer to questions of importance, \u201cWhere did we come from?\u201d And they point the way to the New Testament hope in Christ (Where are we going?). Romans 15:4 (KJV) \u201c4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.\u201d We must tell these stories over and over again.<\/p>\n

Advertisers of products know the benefit of repeating slogans constantly. We need to learn from them the importance of continuing to tell our children, our adult students, and our assembly audiences about God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and all the precious truths contained in the Bible.<\/p>\n

The Bible is God\u2019s revelation to man. It\u2019s the product of Divine Inspiration. We must never treat it as \u201coptional\u201d literature. If God\u2019s Word tells us a thing, it\u2019s important that we listen and learn. Teachers, we need to tell of the wonderful teachings, miracles, death, burial, resurrection of Jesus; the glorious ascension to heaven; the plan of salvation in its simplicity; the meaning and importance of church membership; the importance of true, Scriptural worship and pure Christian living.<\/p>\n

In the words of Paul, we too must strive with all that is in us to declare \u201call the counsel of God.\u201d (Acts 20:27). A generation of careless teachers who fail to study and teach God\u2019s word faithfully will produce a generation that knows not the Lord nor the works He has done. It\u2019s far better to build safeguards at the summit of the mountain than to build hospitals at the base.
