Ruth Forrester Cain, 89 of Scottsboro passed away Friday, May 8, 2020. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens with her sons, Rev. Rob Cain and Rev. Charley Cain officiating.
\nRuth was born on Friday, May 30, 1930. Her kindness and dedication to others have benefited many organizations, charities and individuals.
\nShe was a genuine, caring person who always thought of others first. She always took the time to show how much she cared and had a unique ability to make everyone around her feel loved and special.
\nRuth is survived by her daughter, Ann Forrester (Don) Harrington; son, Paul (Deborah) Cain; son, Charley (Shari) Cain; son, Ron (Taffy) Cain; grandchildren, Forrest (Cissie) Harrington, Brandon (Noel) Cain, Gavin (Amber) Harrington, Derrick (Rene) Cain, Hannah Cain, Taylor (Steven) Matz, Madison (Jared) Johnson, Logan (Emily) Cain, Hudson (Anna) Cain, Madelin Cain; great-grandchildren, Will, Kate, and Hawkins Harrington, Dawson Atkinson, Jordan Bittle, Bradleigh, Emmitt, Landon, Braxton and Harper Cain; sister, Faye Pierce; several nieces and nephews.
\nShe was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Dorsey Forrester; her husband of 42 years, James Paul Cain; her parents, James Albert and Carrie Elizabeth Hawkins; six siblings.
\nThe family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Rosewood Manor, Encompass Hospice, her special friend, Mary Bennett and her doctor, Mandi Bell for making her last years pleasant and comfortable.
