Gordon \u201cButch\u201d Foster, Jr., age 80, passed away on April 23, 2025. A celebration of life was held at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Saturday, April 26, 2025. \u00a0
\nMr. Foster is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Martha; his son, Kevin (Rebecca) Foster; daughter, Susan (Craig) Jones of; five beloved grandchildren, Junah Jones, Annabelle Foster, Lincoln Jones, Emma Foster, and Isla Foster; loving sisters and brothers in law; nieces and nephews.
\nMr. Foster was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Foster and Kathleen Campbell Foster; and his brother, Tim Foster.
\nHe lived a life filled with love, service, and passion. Butch dedicated 27 years to teaching, shaping the minds of countless students with his knowledge and compassion. As a Church of Christ minister for over 50 years, he devoted his life to serving others, offering guidance and support to his congregation and community. Butch\u2019s faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he was always ready with a kind word or a helping hand.
\nA lover of bluegrass music, Butch also enjoyed playing several instruments himself. His passion for music was matched only by his commitment to the community, where he spent many years involved in Dixie Softball.
