Dorothy L. Fairbanks, age 85 of Scottsboro, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Funeral services were held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from the Scottsboro Funeral Home. Bro. Terry Wright and Bro. Frankie Osmer officiated. Interment followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
\nMrs. Fairbanks is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Michael) Bailey; sons, Aaron Fairbanks and Larry (Karen) Adkins; sister, Shirley (J.C.) Haswell; brothers, William Southeard and Bobby Southeard; honorary children, Renee Swearingin and David Swearingin; grandchildren, Lindsey (Nathan) Smith, Lynn (Brian) Roberts and Dawn (James) Jeffrey; great grandchildren, Amber Stanley, Jacob Johnson, Steven Johnson, Michael Roberts, Chelsie Grayden, Katlynn Faucett, Natilie Holcomb, Colin Beddingfield and Druw Smith; as well as thirteen great great grandchildren.
\nMrs. Fairbanks was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Fairfield; parents, Ruby and Elmer Southeard; brothers and sisters, Rayford Southeard, Walter Southheard, Lela Keller, Genevia McCallister, Betty Jo Southeard, Eva Pearl Southeard and Elizabeth Southeard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
