Tommy Ray Hurst, age 79, passed away on January 20, 2025. Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 26, 2025 from the Section Funeral Home Chapel. Donald Jacobs, Shannon Brewster and Chris Berry officiated. Interment followed in the New Canaan Cemetery.
\nMr. Hurst is survived by his wife, Joanne Tigue Hurst; daughter, Jennifer Phillips; son, Chris (Kim) Phillips; granddaughters, Brittany (Andrew) Baker, Sherri (Brian) Porter and Megan (Sam) Roden; great granddaughter, Alaia Johnston; great grandsons, Dalton Wheeler (Kadance), Conner Phillips, Gage Gross, Grayson Wolfe, Hudson Baker, Christian Franks, Samuel Knopps and Memphis Thompson; sister, Rhenetta Phillips; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
\nMr. Hurst was preceded in death by his parents, Clara Hurst and W.D. Hurst; daughters, Melissa Kane and Pamela Hurst; grandson, Logan Brownfield; great granddaughter, Gracelyn Phillips; sisters, Margaret Mottox, Rosa Anderson; nephew, Ray Anderson; and brothers, Bobby Hurst and Jerry Hurst. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
