Mable K. Bishop, age 78 of Scottsboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Randy Webber and Rev. Mickey Skipper officiated. Interment followed in the Hytop Cemetery.
\nMrs. Bishop is survived by her husband, Bryan J. Bishop; sons, Keith (Betty) Bishop, John Bishop; grandchildren, Courtney (Jason) Guger, Kayla (Justin) Welsh, Laura Beth (Christopher) Doss, Caitlin Bishop, Haley (Justin) McElyea, Sarah (Gavin) Sargent; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Jones, Shirley (Lloyd) Scott; and a host of family and friends.
\nMrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her parents, L.S. and Leona Knopps; and brothers, Virgil Knopps and Teddy Knopps.
\nShe was a loving wife and mother, and a member of Skyline Church of God where she taught Sunday School. She was a retired school teacher from Skyline High School and sang in three different gospel groups.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
