Ernest Eugene Kirby passed away on December 23, 2024. Graveside services were held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from the Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jody Gamble officiated.
\nMr. Kirby is survived by his wife, Louise; and son, Jerry Eugene (Mike Harris) Kirby.
\nMr. Kirby was preceded in death by his parents, John O. Kirby and Emmie Knight Kirby; brothers, Lester, Loyal, Kenneth, and Earl; and sister Ruby Daniel.
\nA devoted husband, father, and friend, Gene lived a life marked by service, dedication, and love. He loved the Lord and was organist at Randall\u2019s Chapel for many years. Music was his passion.\u00a0
\nGene proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard and served in Korea as part of the 151st Engineer\u2019s Combat Battalion. He later built a long and fulfilling career, retiring from the Coca-Cola Company in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
\nGene was a kind and gentle spirit with a delightful sense of humor. His life of service and generosity will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
