Earning this rank is no small feat and demonstrates Logan\u2019s passion for making a positive impact through countless hours of hard work, leadership, and service projects. Dulaney began as a Boy Scout in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>A motion to award the copier and printer contract was discussed and approved. The contract was awarded to R.J. Young at a cost of $1,586.10 per month.<\/p>\n<p>A motion to approve the roadway striping list, which included striping portions of County Road 19, County Road 107, County Road 39, County Road 215, County Road 21, County Road 33 and County Road 17, as well as paving of County Road 159, County Road 437, County Road 107, County Road 156, County Road 3, County Road 303 and Lake Boulevard was approved. The project is estimated to cost $57,868.75.<\/p>\n<p>A motion to temporarily assign an assistant maintenance director to the maintenance director per a letter was also approved. Jackson County\u2019s policy is that when a person is in a position in excess of 20 days, their pay must be placed to that of the position they\u2019re in. Jesse Martin was temporarily placed at Grade 13 step 1, in the absence of maintenance director Colby Gann. The assignment is effective for up to 90 calendar days or the return of Gann. Commissioners went on to state that Gann is doing great after recently receiving a double organ transplant.<\/p>\n<p>A motion to approve the resolutions authorizing the expenditure of ARPA (American Rescue Act) Funds for government services for Solid Waste; government services for Jackson County Park and government services including administrative costs of Jackson County were approved. Solid Waste will use $24,540.11 to purchase radios from Scottsboro Communications and $22,800 to purchase a tire changer from Fleet Pride. Jackson County Park will use their funds to purchase dock supplies from Home Depot at a cost of $15,007.30, purchase a gator from TriGreen at a cost of $11,799.43 and wi-fi from Data Trust Tower at a cost of $29,623.53. Funds in the amount of $49,450 will be used to purchase a time clock from Harris Local Government.<\/p>\n<p>A motion to approve and sign a resolution for the transfer of ARPA funds to carry out a public purpose project for Jacob\u2019s Well was also approved. The public purpose project for Jacob\u2019s Well Food Pantry in the amount of $24,000 will be used to purchase food for those in need.<\/p>\n<p>Director of Solid Waste, Caleb Skipper spoke to Commissioners. Skipper requested that the rules be set aside for a roof leak to be repaired. Skipper requested that Chamber and Son Construction be awarded the bid in the amount of $20,150.
