The Art Society of Jackson County would like to invite everyone to its inaugural Silent Auction at the Scottsboro Jackson County Rescue Squad on June 1, 2024, from 6-9 p.m. \u201cWe\u2019re excited for this event,\u201d says Denise White, board president. \u201cThe evening will feature live music by Trenton Peeples, a plate dinner, and items to bid on.\u201d Most importantly, says White, funds from the auction will fund the Art Society\u2019s Artist Grant program. \u201cWe believe the arts matter, and we\u2019re raising money to help support a local artist,\u201d says White.<\/p>\n
Tickets are available now for $10 and can be purchase at artsocietyofjc.com\/silent-auction. Tickets will include a hot dog, chips and a drink.<\/p>\n
Auction items can be seen before the event on the Society\u2019s Facebook page. \u201cWe\u2019ll also have a bake sale set up,\u201d says White. \u201cThere will be plenty to shop and do, and the proceeds go to a good cause.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Artist Grant application is open to all visual artists residing in Jackson County for at least two years. Applications close on June 1, 2024, with the winner to be announced on September 1, 2024.
