Marie Annette Avans, age 87 of Stevenson, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from the Rudder Funeral Home chapel. Interment followed at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
\nMrs. Avans is survived by her son, Clois Ray Avans; daughter, Karen Lee (Danny Lebron) Phillips; grandchildren, Renee Hambrick, Katelyn Steele, Amanda Pilgram and Summer Leane Avans; fifteen great grandchildren; one great grandchild; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
\nMrs. Avans was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Green Avans; parents, John Holt Knott and Ruth Chance; son, Johnny Green Avans, Jr., Thomas James Wilson; grandson, Clois Ray Avans, Jr.; daughter, Carol Avans; brothers, James Knott, Flavel Knott; sisters, Quilla Moore, Mary Ruth and Johnny Akins. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
