Billy Richard Ashley, age 81 of Scottsboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Interment occurred during a private ceremony by Mr. Ashley\u2019s family at a family plot in Hollywood, Ala.
\nMr. Ashley was born in Gadsden, Ala. He served in the United States Army. Billy retired as a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 91. He enjoyed spending time searching for and collecting antiques.
\nMr. Ashley is survived by his daughter, Lana (Ron) Latimer; son, Robert (Caroline) Starr; grandchildren, Ashley Cripps, Lydia Starr and Reed Latimer; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
\nMr. Ashley was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Joyce Ashley; father, William Earl Ashley; mother, Ila Mae Ashley; brother, Robert Alan Ashley; and sister, Martha Ann Gillespie. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
