{"id":12304,"date":"2024-01-09T13:43:39","date_gmt":"2024-01-09T19:43:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.theclarion.org\/?p=12304"},"modified":"2024-01-09T13:44:08","modified_gmt":"2024-01-09T19:44:08","slug":"fishing-tip-of-the-week-145","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/test.theclarion.org\/?p=12304","title":{"rendered":"Fishing tip of the week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bladed Baits in Winter<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>by Mike Gerry<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>E<\/em>very year when we seem to hit that in between time when the water is too cold for fast moving baits and not warm enough to slow completely to the likes of soft plastics, there are some advantages to bladed baits.<!--more--><br \/>\nMost of us don\u2019t realize but the blades on many of our baits help slow your retrieve and give you an advantage in many different ways.<br \/>\nThe blade acts as a resistant force to the water slowing your bait down as you move it across the bottom of the river. The blade can also aid in keeping the bait off the bottom as the bigger the blade the longer it takes to get that bait to the bottom.<\/p>\n<p>\nA presentation we all hear about in water temperatures of the low 50\u2019s are slow rolling a big spinner bait.
