Uptain, Jr., age 75 of Grant, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023. <!--more-->A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 5, 2023 from the Grant Memorial Chapel. <br \/>\nMr. Uptain is survived by his wife, Marcia Uptain; sons, Shane Uptain and Glenn Smith; daughters, Sabrina Carroll and Tracy (Brandon Phillips) Roe; grandchildren, Shelby (Mikal) Steele, Spencer Ratledge, Sara (Drew Green) Roe and Kiara Roe; great grandchildren, Carter, Cadle, Creed, Luke and Amiya; as well as many other extended family members and friends. <br \/>\nMr. Uptain was preceded in death by his parents, Luby Uptain and Inez Uptain; sister, Linda Benefield; and brother, Glenn Uptain<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>G.L.
