Lackey, 92 of Scottsboro, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. <!--more-->Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Kirk Griggs and Dr. Matt Helms officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Robert was a Korean War veteran, fighting with the Alabama National Guard 151st Engineer Combat Battalion Company B. He retired from Mead. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 50 years. His church was very important to him. He served as a deacon, member of the choir and Calvary Quartet. He will be remembered as a faithful man of God. His presence and love will be missed. He left a legacy for all of us to live up to.<\/p>\n<p>He is survived by his sisters, Ruth (Jack) Cottis, Opal (Andy) Kepner, Darlene Griggs; a host of nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Lackey; parents, Dewey and Annie Lackey; brothers, George Lackey, Dee Lackey, Cecil Lackey, Delbert Lackey; sisters, Louise Bellomy, Virginia Sanders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mr. Robert F.
