The City of Scottsboro has been named \u201cTree City of the Year\u201d for the State of Alabama for 2023 by the Alabama Urban Forestry Association. Dr. David West, from the Alabama Urban Forestry Association, will present the proclamation from Governor Ivey to Mayor Jim McCamy and the Scottsboro Tree Commission Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at City Hall, located at 316 South Broad Street. \u201cIt is truly an honor to have the City of Scottsboro chosen as Alabama\u2019s Tree City of the Year,\u201d said Mrs. Donna Greer, Chairperson of the Scottsboro Tree Commission. \u201cI\u2019d like to thank all Tree Commission members, past and present, for making this possible. We also thank the Alabama Urban Forestry Association for granting the City of Scottsboro this honor.\u201d<\/p>\n
